Tips To Make Six-Pack Abs

Do you have six-pack abs, or one large belly? It seems that everywhere we look, there’s some new type of gadget or program that claims it can transform your flabby abs into a flat, attractive stomach. Unfortunately, these programs don’t tell you how to REALLY get six-pack abs. Here are some of the most effective methods:

1. Eat foods with negative net calories

While many people reduce the number of calories in their diet, that’s not precisely the approach you should take. Instead, focus more on eating more fresh fruit and veggies, and reducing your fat-intake. Consume fruits and vegetables that have a negative net value of calories-in other words, your body uses more calories digesting these foods, than the number of calories the foods themselves have! Foods with negative net calories include watermelon, peaches, broccoli, and spinach.

2. Drink more water

Water is the one NATURAL food containing zero calories. Drinking water helps you to feel full, so you’ll eat less food. Also, it helps to prevent dehydration, flush out toxins from your body, control your body temperature, improve blood circulation-the list goes on and on. And you get water from numerous fruits and veggies too. So you can get your water by drinking up AND eating up!

3. Focus on your “core” when exercising

Ironically, health experts have found that many so-called “ab exercises,” such as sit-ups and crunches–aren’t particularly the best ones to do when you want to burn stomach fat. Instead, focus on exercises that center on your “core muscles”-these include your back, pelvis, and yes-abs. When performing the exercises, make sure to tighten up your deepest ab muscle-the one that contracts when you cough. Combining these exercises with a 30-minute cardio program five or six days a week, will make your body into a fat-burning machine!

4. Consume “Super” fat-burning foods

We know that fruits and veggies are healthy for us and can help us to make our tummy into a washboard. But there are also some “super” foods that can cause your body to burn fat at a super-fast rate. These foods include:

Apples
Berries
Cayenne pepper
Cinnamon
Citrus fruits
Dairy products
Garlic
Ginger
Soybeans
However, remember that to maximize your fat-burning, it’s crucial that you combine a healthy diet with regular exercise.

5. Have enough sleep

What does sleep have to do with fat-burning? One problem is that sleep deprivation will make you too tired to exercise. Another problem is that it could throw off your body’s balance of hormones-leptin and ghrelin in particular. Leptin tells you when you’re full, and ghrelin tells you when you need to eat. When these hormones get confused, your body is confused about when you should eat. How much sleep do you require? The average healthy adult requires 6-8 hours each night.

If you want those washboard abs that you see on TV and the Internet, then you’ll essentially have to take a different approach than the one in most ads for abs. That’s how you can get six-pack abs!
