It wouldn’t be wise to wear boots when trying your jeans on when you’ll usually wear sneakers as you may pick a length that is too short.
The Polo – The polo shirt has long been considered the casual, weekender version of the more-structured dress shirt. Its been seen on golf courses and yachts for many years, but has now found a place in the more casual environments. The material may change and the colors are varied, but the basic design and shape of a polo make it the perfect semi-casual (or semi-formal) shirt for any mans closet.
Dress Shirts – When the polo just wont do in a formal setting, the dress shirt is your next piece of timeless fashion. Much like the polo shirt, a well-fitted formal shirt can be amended to accommodate almost any situation. Looking for a casual look after work? Roll up your sleeves and unbutton it a bit to create a sophisticated, yet relaxed appearance. Going out to the fanciest restaurant in town? Button up and find a nice suit and tie to compliment your look. A neutral-colored dress shirt is an essential piece of clothing that you can build so many looks on. When we speak of dress shirts, we are not referring to the short-sleeved counterparts that often sport an unattractive plaid pattern. These shirts have been out of style for quite some time and should remain hidden in your closet, or perhaps traded in for a more sophisticated polo.
Trends and fads can make your modern wardrobe seem archaic in a matter of weeks, which is why you shouldn’t have your closet full of items that will surely look ridiculous in the near future. By having a few timeless staples on hand, you’ll always be prepared for any impromptu appearance.
